"Remember, remember, this is now, and now, and now. Live it, feel it, cling to it. I want to become acutely aware of all I've taken for granted."

  • My Medium article on omg.lol continues to go viral! I've had so many referrals that I get three years of membership for free at this point!
  • Email from James: I just read https://brennan.day/how-a-taylor-swift-lyric-gave-me-an-existential-crisis/ and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your post. One of the things I love about blogging, and having a website more generally, is that I can share little things—ideas, observations, stories—that may otherwise have remained only in my mind. Every time I publish something I feel a little bit of joy. This idea or story is no longer just mine, I think—it could be something more: a conversation, a starting point. On the topic of resonant lyrics, Bon Iver's lyric 'You will never be complete' in the song Short Story, in his latest album, is one that comes to mind often even if I haven't heard the song in a while. I have been thinking about this in the context of my website too: it will never be finished, but it's nice to make and see it grow!
